I hope you are having a glass of anything you’d like to drink, and hopefully you have got some time in your hands, because you will spend quite a few time hovering around these magnificent photos from Shannon and Ian’s wedding. I really have so much to thank and appreciate these two. They were absolutely invested on the process, they made things so fun to “work” (pictures are very honest about that), and more than that, the love they share for each other is so inspiring, I have no words to describe. They connected thru a family member and their first time hanging out was at a birthday party, and they haven’t been apart ever since. Check out their engagement love story here!
And Shannon and Ian have chosen Vineyard of Mary’s Meadow, a beautiful venue located in Darlington, MD to celebrate their love. The day was amazing and unique, and it was an honor to be there with our team, to capture their wedding. Enjoy their pictures and wedding videos too! #bohwhatanight

Daysy: The Best Thing about the day…
S+I: We can’t pick just one thing! The whole day was absolutely perfect.

Daysy: Based on our wedding planning experiences, what advice would you give people who are still planning their wedding?
S+I: Utilize the websites that assist you with planning but the best choice we made was having a coordinator for the day of! Nothing could have happened without her, and we were able to enjoy the best day of our lives stress free!

Daysy: Did you have a first look before the ceremony? If yes, how can you describe that moment?
S+I: Yes we did. We absolutely loved this part. It allowed us to have that special private moment before the guests arrived and the ceremony begun. The reaction was priceless, and I will be forever grateful we got to share that moment before our wedding.

Daysy: What was your color palette and wedding style? What inspired it? Tell us about the flowers, stationery and decor you chose.
S+I: We went with blushes and champagnes with a touch of muave! We wanted to keep everything as simples as possible- our centerpieces were white and blush hydrengeas with baby’s breath in mason jars. We had mason jars scattered throughout the venue with baby’s breath as well. Our florist, Roni’s Roses Floral Design, Roni Stinebaugh, did an amazing job bringing our vision to life. My bouquet had a mix of greens, roses, baby’s breath and my favorite, dahlias. The bridesmaids bouquets were pink and muave roses with baby’s breath.

Daysy: How would you describe the style of your wedding?
S+I: Casual, relaxed, with a touch of rustic

Daysy: Where did you have your wedding? Why did you choose the location?
S+I: Vineyards of Mary’s Meadow- we chose this venue because our good friends own this venue. We fell in love with it years ago before we even got engaged! It was a beautiful location and everything we wanted in a venue! We loved that it had a country rustic feel, and they were more than accommodating. We had a perfect day and our venue played a huge part in that!

Daysy: What moment of your wedding day did you get anxious the most?
S+I: The only part that I can say made me a bit anxious was right before I walked down the aisle in front of all of our closest friends in family because in that moment all of my emotions hit me. I was about to marry my best friend and love of my life and the moment I had spent planning around for 2 years was finally happening!

Daysy: Who decided on the wedding song for walking down the aisle and why?
S+I: I picked the songs for the ceremony, just because Ian didn’t really have any preferences and wanted to be surprised

Daysy: What is the worst thing that happened on your wedding day, and the best thing that happened?
S+I: There was not one thing that we can think of that went wrong that day! The whole day was amazing

Daysy: Describe any personal or special touches that helped make Your Wedding Memorable.:
S+I: Our whole wedding was comprised of personal and special touches as all the decorations were made by my mom, and put together by my mom, my closest friends and family members. My cousin was our coordinator and we could not have pulled anything off without her! She was amazing and made sure everything we wanted was there, and the day went just as we planned. This really allowed us to enjoy every little special moment between us and with our guests. We would also say that the two most memorable/special moments were when we read the letters we had written each other to open the morning of the wedding, and our first look. The letter reading and first look were such personal and intimate moments and made our day even more special.

Daysy: Which element(s) of your day best reflected you as a couple? What did you do to make guests feel special?
S+I: I think the element that best reflected is as a couple would be our ravens Steelers cutting cake- that sprinkles exploded out of when we cut it! This was a surprise by Ian’s mom and was a special touch that made our day that much better!

Daysy: What was the most difficult detail of your wedding to agree upon?
S+I: We were extremely lucky because we honestly Didn’t have much we disagreed on while planning, Ian trusted my judgement with most of the details so it worked out! Ha!

Daysy: After the day has passed, would you have anything you have done differently?
S+I: The only thing I would have done differently is make the reception portion longer to keep the party going!

Daysy: Tell us about your cocktail hour and reception! What was on the menu? Did you have any special entertainment?
S+I: For our cocktail hour and reception we had our signature drink, the Black Eyed Suzie, which was a huge hit! Our DJ also played some soft music for the cocktail hour.

Daysy: How did you feel when the wedding planning was all over?
S+I: It felt like a huge relief but was also sad that it was all over!
