Vendor Love is about some of the amazing vendors I had/have the pleasure to work with at weddings and events, so we definitely share a common story, a common day where we have worked together to make a couple’s dream come true.
I want to get to know more of these amazing professionals, and on top of it, I want to make sure my couples know about them too and recommend them all the way (I want them to have the best out of the best for the day)!!!

HISTORY
My mom and I purchased the business in March and opened in April of 2001. We really have two businesses under one roof. I run the “Blossom” part, a full service – daily delivery florist specializing in weddings and events. My mom, Ellie, runs the “Basket and Boutique” side of the business – a unique gift shop featuring local art, well known brands you expect, and the ability to create gift baskets featuring our fun products.
Focusing on wedding flowers was not a cognizant choice I made.
I just love, LOVE. I love celebrating love and fun flowers are the best part! I am so lucky to be able to work with couples every day to make their wedding floral dreams come true.
THE PROCESS
1 st Step – Consultation (1-2 hours)
We meet (either in person, by phone, by video chat or by email) and discuss all of your wants – all the places you would like to have floral décor as well as your overall style and favorite flowers and greenery. We share photos to make sure our “flower words” match our ideas.
2 nd Step – I create the Proposal (1-3 hours)
I create designs and recipes for all of the different floral aspects that had been requested including bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony décor, centerpieces, accent tables, event rentals, etc. From these recipes I am unable to price each item. My staff works with me to type the proposal and add photographs to make a cohesive plan.

3 rd Step – Refinement (Months)
Working back and forth we make the proposal perfect, determine the number of items needed, and update as changes to the plan happen.
4 th Step – Finalization and Ordering (30 minutes)
Once the proposal is finalized, I order all the materials needed.
5 th Step – Week of!!! (All week)
Flowers start arriving the beginning of the week so my team and I can manipulate them to the perfect stage of bloom – we prep containers, sort and organize so the design will go smoothly. We also prep and clean all rental items to make sure delivery is flawless.
6 th Step – 1-2 days before (all day)
Start actual floral design to create bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and other ceremony pieces, etc.
7 th Step – “Day Of” (2-6 hours)
Pack and load flowers and rental items in vans – unload and setup – place/pin/present! Breathe!
8 th Step (1-2 hours)
Return to the site and time of the last dance to retrieve rental items.
