Private Estate, Martinsburg WV Engagement Session ~ Jessica + Austin
This past weekend, we had the wonderful opportunity to travel to beautiful Martinsburg, West Virginia. Since both Austin and Jessica are outdoorsy people, we shot their engagement session at Jessica’s parents’ beautiful countryside private estate. The weather and nature were the perfection backdrop for such a country-loving couple! Their love and positivity towards each other absolutely shine through the photos. We cannot wait for their September 2018 wedding, at The Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown, WV

Daysy: How did Austin propose? Can you describe that moment?
Jessica + Austin: He proposed in line at the Chocolate World ride at Hershey Park. He had it all planned out with the employees before we got there. There was a photo area set up in the middle of the line and right before the photographer snapped the photo, he proposed, so we have pictures of the moment… He knows I love chocolate!
Daysy: Do you have any children together?
Jessica + Austin: Yes. A four month old boy, Weston.

Daysy: Describe your relationship in two words.
Jessica + Austin: Ridiculously exciting!
Daysy: Jessica, you recently went into labor with your son, who was born premature… Could you share a little bit about this experience and how you felt your instincts saved yours and your son’s lives?
Jessica: It was a very stressful and scary day. I knew something wasn’t right and I wanted to be seen by a doctor instead of talking about my symptoms over the phone. Good thing I did too because I had a placenta abruption and any longer and we could’ve lost Weston and possibly me. Everyone says that was my first motherly instinct.
Daysy: Austin, what gave you the strength to support Jessica during her difficult labor? Would you have any message to share about how family members can help? Would you do anything differently today?
Austin: I knew everything was going to be okay. The pain would be temporary but the joy would be a lifetime. Family members can help by just being there. I wouldn’t do anything differently.
