Hey everyone today is the day to share this amazing love story, full of creativity and irreverence. Camila and Tom chose The Carlyle Club in Alexandria, VA to celebrate their wedding day. The entire wedding was full of surprises and details that turned their wedding remarkable. Camila sang in her vows and the first dance was a blast with a mix of Brazilian music! Their family and friends couldn’t talk about something else.

This couple shares an vibrant energy and it is possible to understand their bond just by looking at them. What a strong love and beautiful story that you guys have been building! We are so happy to be part of this capture process since the beginning.

How did you guys meet?

We met online on the Bumble app.

How long after you were engaged did you get married?

7 months

Top 3 tips for future couples:

Be patient with your partner
Be his/her best friend and do things to make them happy (even if you don’t really love doing them)
Enjoy the company of each other, having date nights, making little surprises or just saying a simple “I love you” any time of the day is always welcome and will make your partner feel loved.

Based on our wedding planning experiences, what advice would you give people who are still planning their wedding?

Plan everything in advance and let the last 2 weeks before the wedding just to relax.

Describe any personal or special touches that helped make Your Wedding Memorable:

Singing during the vows and dancing a Brazilian dance for the first dance.

The beautiful music Think Out Loud, by Ed Sheeran the was the way Camila has chose to share her vows to Tom. It was a very emotional moment for everyone!

How would you describe the style of your wedding?

Modern and irreverent.

What adjective best describes your spouse on your wedding day?

Tom was emotional and Camila was excited.

Where did you have your wedding? Why did you choose the location?

The Carlyle Club in Alexandria VA. We chose this venue because it’s beautiful inside and outside for pictures, the staff is great and the food is AMAZING!

The Best Thing about the day:

Camila singing “Thinking out loud” during her vows.

What was your color palette and wedding style?

Dark blue, silver and light pink. We had light pink and white roses.

Tell us about your cocktail hour and reception! What was on the menu? Did you have any special entertainment?

We had: Mini crab cakes, tomato basil bruschetta, dijon chicken puff pastry and we imported domestic cheeses, assorted bread, crackers, sauces, and fresh sliced seasonal fruits.

How did you feel when the wedding planning was all over?

Relief.

Which element(s) of your day best reflect you as a couple? What did you do to make guests feel special?

Our first dance was proof that we do anything for each other. Tom learned Brazilian dance and the couple had 10 classes to make it as beautiful as possible. The guests were not expecting that and especially the Brazilians loved it. We made the guests feel special by naming each table with something sweet or fun about each group.
