Wedding days have so many highlights and they bring back the special memories from how the couples have met and also fun stories, and most often get shared with their guests during their ceremony or vows. From today, I will leave that statement here: Erin and Mike have the cutest love story ever. It is deserving of a Hollywood movie (not kidding!). They met for the first time, at their friends wedding, where they were both part of the bridal party. Call it destiny, lucky or anything you wish to believe, but for me, it was meant to be! And nothing beats the love for a bride and groom who truly care for each other like these two do! Remember their engagement story here!
Today, they are re-living how their story had started, but this time being a bride and groom! It so inspiring to see how their family and friends gathered around to be part of this beautiful day. Many happiness your way, dearests. You deserve all the best in this world can offer to you TOGETHER 🙂

Top 3 planning tips for future couples:
- Start early- We pretty much started planning immediately after we got engaged which really helped to alleviate some of the stress. It also helps in other ways- the vendors you’d like to work with are less likely to already be booked, some of your expenses will be spread out a bit more, etc. At the end, you are hit with a ton of small details which can pile on if you’re also doing a lot of last minute planning.
- Read reviews! I would suggest that you always read reviews for any vendors or venues. There are always going to be a few small hiccups that happen leading up to your day, but if you do the research and book quality vendors you will greatly decrease the chances of major setbacks!
- Enjoy every moment of it! You are only an engaged couple once and it all flies by so fast. Make sure to take a step back once in a while, breathe, and take it all in and enjoy being someone’s fiance before you become their wife 🙂
How would you describe the style of your wedding?
E+M: Modern, Romantic with lots of flowers and greenery.
After the day has passed, would you have anything you have done differently?
E+M:: Nothing. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
Where did you have your wedding? Why did you choose the location?
E+M: Manor Country Club. My parents were members so it was the obvious choice for us, and the venue was wonderful about accommodating all of our requests and needs. Also, it certainly didn’t hurt that it was also beautiful!
Erin, can you descried The Best Thing about the day for you?
Erin: My favorite part of the day was our first look. Looking at him for the first time that day as we were both all smiles and the anticipation of knowing that we were entering this exciting new chapter of our lives together.
Did you have a first look before the ceremony? If yes, how can you describe that moment?
E+M: We went back and forth about the first look but ultimately decided to go for it and we have no regrets. The deciding factor was knowing that we would both be so nervous and believing that seeing each other would give us a peace of mind. We have no regrets
What is the worst thing that happened on your wedding day, and the best thing that happened?
Erin: My dress was chiffon on the bottom and got a bit snagged on the bracelet I was wearing prior to the ceremony. I ended up having to lose the bracelet. The best thing was just knowing that the wedding was the start to our happily ever after.
Mike: The best to me was marrying the love of my life, and the worst was that it all flew by so fast!
Tell us about your wedding day fashions…
Erin – It was a boho wedding dress with a modern halter-esque neckline. There was elegant beading and lace over a french tulle on the bodice and a chiffon/flowy skirt.
Bridesmaids – My bridesmaids wore different styles, but they all had commonalities. They were all Christina Wu dresses that were pink, long, chiffon and all had some sort of rhinestone embellishment on them.
Mike – CK Blue suit which included a matching blue jacket, vest and pants, white dress shirt, brown dress shoes, pink paisley tie, pink pocket square, and gold cufflinks
Groomsmen – CK Blue suit which included a blue jacket, vest and pants, white dress shirt, brown dress shoes, a blue and pink plaid tie, white pocket square, and gold cufflinks
How did you feel when the wedding planning was all over?
E+M: Slightly relieved that the wedding stress was over, but mostly bummed. All that planning, and it’s all over in a flash!
Who decided on the wedding song for walking down the aisle and why?
Erin: I did. I decided to have my stepmother play the cello and my brother to play the violin. The string renditions of the songs I selected were beautiful. They played instrumental versions of All of Me by, John Legend and 1000 Years by, Christina Perri
Mike, can you descried The Best Thing about the day for you?
Mike: Walking down the aisle together after we said our “I Do’s” knowing that it was the beginning of our life together as husband and wife.
Erin, What adjective best describes your spouse on your wedding day?
He looked very handsome and had a big smile on his face whenever I looked at him. It warmed my heart.
Mike, What adjective best describes your spouse on your wedding day?
Mike: She was absolutely breathtaking!
What was your color palette and wedding style? What inspired it? Tell us about the flowers, stationery and decor you chose.
Light pink, navy blue, white and gold accents. We had roses, hydrangeas, and eucalyptus throughout the bouquets and centerpieces. The bridesmaid and bride bouquets also had peonies. We decided to use pedestals with large hydrangea bouquets in lieu of an arch for our ceremony. Our tables for the reception had some tall and some short centerpieces. Our flowers were beyond beautiful! Our stationary had pink brush strokes behind the modern font. There was a little bit of foil pressed gold writing as well.
Tell us about your cocktail hour and reception! What was on the menu? Did you have any special entertainment?
Our DJs set up some music for the cocktail hour. Our passed Hors D’oeuvres included coconut shrimp with an orange sauce, crab stuffed mushrooms, vegetarian spring rolls, and chicken satay with peanut sauce. Our stationed Hors D’oeuvres included a seasonal grilled vegetable display with balsamic glaze and a mediterranean display with pesto sauce and hummus.
For dinner, we served a pear and berry salad, petite filet mignon with a port wine reduction and jumbo lump crab cake with lemon aioli, red peppers and asparagus, and mashed potatoes. For dessert, we had lemon and chocolate mousse wedding cake.
Which element of your day best reflected you as a couple? What did you do to make guests feel special?
E+M: We think the element that reflected us as a couple was our reception introduction song. We came out to “Sexy Back” by Justin Timberlake which quickly switched to “Apache Jump on It” by, Sugarhill Gang. Our whole bridal party broke out into the Carlton dance to that song. This showed our goofy and silly side. We just really tried to make it a fun and enjoyable evening for our guests and added some personal touches. We had a live cellist and violinist for the ceremony, fun music/djs that managed to keep the dance floor packed, a photo booth, and specialty cocktails to reflect our personal tastes.
What moment of your wedding day did you get anxious the most?
Erin: I was most anxious about being the center of attention and having to stand up in front of everyone for the ceremony. We decided to each share a personal statement with each other for our ceremony, so that was a bit nerve-wracking for me.
Mike: I was most anxious dancing into the reception during the bridal party introductions at the reception.
What was the most fun detail of your wedding to plan?
E+M: The menu! Our venue allowed us to taste the wines, hors d’oeuvres, dinner options along with the cake options! This was the part of the planning process that Mike was happy to be a part of.
What was the most difficult detail of your wedding to agree upon?
E+M: Music- our first dance song, bridal party introduction songs, and the song for the parent dance. We spent months going back and forth on all of this. Also, I think that Mike would’ve liked a smaller wedding. He mentioned several times that he wanted to just go to the court house whereas I wanted a more traditional wedding. I think after our memorable day he had no regrets.
Who caught the bridal bouquet?
E+M: We decided to skip the bouquet and garter tosses so no one
What are your honeymoon plans?
E+M: We went to Nassau, Bahamas a week after the wedding. It was so nice to unwind but also get to do a little bit of exploring while we were there. It was our first real trip together. We had such a great time that while we were there, we booked a trip to Jamaica for our 1 year anniversary!
