Joice & Ederson Lodge at Little Seneca Creek Wedding | Boyds, MD

Joice & Ederson are a brazilian couple who have met at church. Their 1st date was at Olive Garden, where later, Ederson decided to actually pop the question. Joice described the moemnt the on a previous interview for their engagement session as “He invited me to have dinner (for me it was just a regular dinner), then he took me to the Olive Garden in Vígínia, where everything began and during the dinner he surprised me with a ring and a proposal.
Joice’s parents traveled all the way from Brazil to be part of their ceremony and we could also capture tears and laughs from them.
Please enjoy Joice and Ederson Wedding Day with beautiful images, an interview and very cute highlights movie (in portuguese).

Daysy: Top 3 tips for future brides:
Joice & Ederson: 1. Plan everything well in advance.
2. Surround yourself with people who can help you and competent professionals.
3.Try to relax! (Those are great tips, and they seemed to work for this couple! ~Daysy)

Joice started her preparation at the Hilton Hotel in Rockville, MD with talented Norma Gonçalves Makeup Artist and Melissa Elbert doing her hair.

Daysy: Where did you have your wedding? Why did you choose the location?
Joice: I had my wedding at The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek, because it’s a very beautiful place and I always dreamed about to have an outside wedding.

Daysy: What went wrong?
Joice: I used a long veil and I walked down a wooden stairway, then my veil got stuck on the stairs … hehehe… But in the end everything worked well.
Ok, I have to add my personal opinion here and say that Joice’s long veil was totally worth it and SO gorgeous and I am happy she had chose for it! This little incident was just something easy to fix, nothing that her photographer “assistant” couldn’t help! ~Daysy

Ceremony site was beautifully decorated by Sandy’s Events! I love how simple yet lovely it looks!

Daysy: The Best Thing about the day?
Joice: To see that my dreams was coming true!

Their bridal party was made out of married couples! When do I get that happening very often? 1 out 100 weddings! Let’s kiss! 🙂

Daysy: What was your color palette and wedding style?
Joice & Ederson: color palette was white and golden, the style was romantic rustic and the flowers was white roses and hydrangeas.

What a beautiful and elegant decoration put together by Sandy’s Events!

Lovely Cake by Elegantes Bolos e Docinhos!

Daysy: Tell us about your cocktail hour and reception! What was on the menu?
Joice & Ederson: After the ceremony my guests were served by the wonderful Gourmet by Pino (Brazil Gourmet) with a delicious cocktail with a lot of fruits and cheeses, and when they went to the reception they were served with stuffed meat, chicken stuffed with cheese, rice, potato gratin, salad and linguine with arugula, besides all the drinks.

Wishing this happy couple a journey filled with love, patience, strength and LOVE again! Congratulations on your union!
