Daysy: Where did you go for your 1st date?
Carol & Alex: For our first date we went to a restaurant called “La Tasca” in D.C. The atmosphere was cozy, chic, with dim lighting. We enjoyed our company very much, while eating some great spaniard food. Following, we actually ended up walking to the monument and hung around there for a while. We took amazing pictures, and for the most part we just enjoyed being our natural selves, feeling the spark and love for each other.

Daysy: How did he/she propose? Can you describe that moment?
Carol & Alex: Alex proposed in Ecuador, my birth country. We took advantage of the special trip to get engaged in the presence of my family. Although the engagement was planned, the moment felt unreal. After 7 years of complicated battles, we finally reached our serious point of commitment. Alexander got on his knee and read me a poem he wrote about his feelings for me and why he wanted to marry me, the poem ended with asking “Will you marry me my love?” I was immediately flooded with flashbacks of the journey we took to get to where we were. I was so grateful to God that He allowed for this special moment to come.
Daysy: Carol, describe something that you absolutely love about your fiance
Carol: I have always loved his determination, perseverance and his confidence. It gives me so much assurance and I admire the strength he has as an effect of those qualities. I love the type of assertiveness and dominance his personality shows.
Daysy: Alexander, describe something that you absolutely love about your fiance
Alex: I absolutely love that she has bubbly, energetic, and empathetic personality. Since i am her total opposite, i find that we both complement each other naturally. Also, i love that She loves kids, since i do as well, that quality is imperatively meaningful.
Daysy: Are you planning to honeymoon? If yes, where do you have plans to go to?
Carol & Alex: We do plan to honeymoon, not immediately. We plan to honeymoon during the summer time but we are still deciding where. We both love traveling to tropical areas, so thats what we narrowed it down to. We have recieved the suggestions to honeymoon in the Cayman Islands, Bora Bora or Hawaii. ALL ARE WONDERFUL CHOICES and this will be a tough decision to make.
Daysy: How do you imagine yourselves as a couple from now to 5 years?
Carol & Alex: Professionally set, college graduates, have our own home, happily in love, and preparing to have kids. We are both hungry for growth and we will always be fighters to reach each of our goals.

Daysy: Any special song?
Carol & Alex: Half of my Heart – John Mayer, we were at a bar restaurant one time and this song comes on in the Karaoke. It was such a soft tuned song and I was listening to the lyrics. I thought they related so much to Alex and me, when I look up I catch Alex looking at me with these big loving eyes.
Daysy: Describe your relationship in two words:
Carol & Alex: True Love
