Cromwell Valley Park holds a special place on Nameer and Jennifer’s heart. They actually considered doing their wedding there, too bad they don’t do weddings… BUT, no reason for regrets, it was the most BEAUTIFUL PLACE for their engagement session… and that, friends, is when we go to hang out and create their amazing engagement photo memories for this beautiful moment of their lives. Enjoy along with their interview!! I find it so cute how we got to incorporate their cute dogs onto the session! Congratulations, Jennifer and Nameer. From here to your wedding day now!!!
How did you meet?
We met at the gym. We both used to workout at Spunk Fitness late at night. Jennifer went there because it was the gym her cousin went to and Nameer went there because all of his friends went to that gym. Nameer saw Jennifer at the gym and wanted her number. Jennifer was always on the cardio machines (which he later made fun of her for). At first, he was too shy to ask her so he asked the front desk employee at the gym, Tommy. Tommy refused to give him her number (from her account). Eventually Nameer asked her for her number.
How did he/she propose? Can you describe that moment?
Family and friends told him that he could not propose on a birthday/holiday because that day is meant to celebrate something else. Instead of proposing on my birthday, Nameer proposed the day before my 21st birthday. I had worked a long double shift at the restaurant where I work and we had plans to come back there to get a drink and celebrate my milestone birthday at midnight. I told Nameer that I was going to come home and take the dogs for a run (which was very common for me), before getting ready to head back to the restaurant. Before I left work, Nameer told me that our oldest dog, Emma, was very excited for me to get home. I thought nothing of it. When I got home, I changed into my workout clothes before coming to grab the dogs’ leashes. I opened the drawer, grabbed the leash, and closed the drawer as normal. Nameer had been standing right there and asked me, “What was that?” It turns out that he had put the ring box wrapped in the leashes and I had missed it in my routine. I then opened the drawer and saw the box. Nameer was so nervous that he forgot to actually ask/get down on one knee. (which was really cute). After I said yes, my mom and sister came out of hiding to congratulate us.
Describe what you most absolutely have in common?
Our humor. Whether it is understanding one another’s sarcasm to understanding an inside joke with just a facial expression, we share the same humor and always make one another laugh
What are some common hobbies/interests that the two of you share?
We both enjoy working out, playing with out dogs, kayaking ( which looks like: Jennifer relaxes, Nameer rows, Jennifer flips the kayak), trying new restaurants. We are very competitive so we both enjoy playing one another in Skeeball, air hockey, and mini golf.
Where did you go for your 1st date?
We went to the Hunt Valley Regal Theater to watch The Internship (with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson). It wasn’t a great movie, but we both liked the actors we chose to go see it. Nameer picked me up in his mom’s Toyota Camry because he didn’t want to pick me up from my parents house in his Nissan Maxima, which had limo tints. I still remember what he wore on that date (khaki shorts and white t-shirt) and how he held the door for me.
Complete the following: When you saw her, SHE seemed….
very quiet and kept to herself and her grandpa tennis shoes.
Complete the following: When you saw him, HE seemed….
Shy. I could tell her was interested but I could tell he was too scared to talk to me (which was really cute).
Are on your plans having children?
Yes, we plan to have children in the future.
Nameer, describe 3 things that you absolutely love about Jennifer
– her personality
– she is kind, loving, and she takes care of me more than she should drive (definitely not the way she operates a vehicle)
– she is always working hard and both enjoys and excels in what she does and she always pushes me to do better
-smile – she has a beautiful smile
Jennifer, describe 3 things that you absolutely love about Nameer
– His patience – He is always patient with me whether I am exhausted from work, having anxiety, or just being difficult;
– His kindness – He is compassionate for every person that he comes across and completes simple acts of kindness that make me so thankful for him;
– His partnership – He partners with me through everything to make life as easy as possible, whether it is splitting who buys dog food to who does dishes to going to the store together, he supports me and is an equal.
Any special song?
Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs – Nameer says it reminds him of Jennifer
How do you imagine yourselves as a couple from now to 5 years?
We plan to continue to grow as a family and continue to support one another as we grow in our careers.
Are you planning to honeymoon? If yes, where do you have plans to go to?
We will be honeymooning, however, we are waiting until Nameer has a break from school in January and have not decided where we are going.
It was incredibly special to be able to capture these beautiful and meaningful moments to you both. And next, to the wedding day!! See you guys soon!! ~ Daysy
Behind the Scenes, and WE want to know….
What caught your eyes about our work?
The photographs were very natural looking, with great lighting and subtle editing
What made this photoshoot so special to you two?
The experience of a photo shoot is new to us as a couple and Daysy did a wonderful job at making the photo shoot very comfortable and fun. Her attention to detail was absolutely stunning and you could tell how experienced she was. She is a natural talent.
What was your favorite part of the photo/video shoot?
We enjoyed getting our dogs involved as they are truly a part of our family. Another moment that stands out was when Daysy actually laid on the street to capture a photo of us because she loved the angle.
